Mr. Martin has litigated Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability cases throughout Northern California as a Hearing Officer/Representative over the last 30 years.

Mr. Martin began his career in his family’s law firm from 1994 until it closed in August 2023, and contemporaneously worked for several firms throughout those years as follows: Law Office of Timothy D. Timmons, Furtado, Jaspovice & Simons, LLC, The Russo Law Firm, and the Law Office of Vincent J. Scotto.

During that time Mr. Martin conducted innumerable depositions of witnesses, physicians and experts, and has taken many cases to trial with and without expert witnesses, inclusive of cross examining the DEU Rater and calling his own Rating Expert as part of that process. That work resulted in four published decisions, all wins, of which he is aware (Kozy v. Wings West Airlines, 89 F3d 635 (9th Cir.); Glaxo Smith Kline v. WCAB (Batterman), (2006) 71 CCC 283; Laing v. WCAB, (2007) 72 CCC 767, 35 CWCR 175; New Axia Holdings v. WCAB (Martinez), (2014) 79 CCC 196).

He is a California native who was raised in SoCal and came to NorCal as a young adult after college. He was a high school (various), college (soccer) and amateur (distance bike racing) athlete. Current hobbies include outdoor activities, working out and following De La Salle football, where his Son played.

He is most proud of being a husband and father.
